At Palmetto Health-USC Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, we offer a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery services with highly specialized care, advanced technology and innovative procedures. What is an oral surgeon?

Oral surgeons complete an additional four to six years of hospital-based residency training beyond the four years of general dental training. As part of their specialty training, oral surgeons study such diverse areas as anesthesia, head and neck surgery, oral pathology, dental implants, facial trauma and radiology.
